Photosynthesis? There’s a hack for that.  by Maria Misner

Researchers have found a way to tweak photosynthesis in order to make certain plants grow faster. These researchers have experimented on tobacco to find this new hack, and in these tests genetically modified tobacco increased its growth by 40%. These researchers will also experiment with other plants to see if this photorespiration fix will give other plants the same benefits as it does for tobacco.

Do you think this new hack will cause a problem environmentally? Why or why not?

How would this tweak be sufficient for farmers?
