Two twin girls were genetically modified to be born with a prevention of HIV. The method that was used to create that is called, CRISPR. CRISPR is a technology that is a powerful tool for editing genomes. It allows researchers to easily alter and modify DNA functions. This brings up a lot of ethical concerns, one being that if scientist can genetically modify children from having HIV, then there is a chance for other things to be done like "designer babies”. Which are children that are modified to have no medical issues, or to be taller, stronger or smarter.

    1. I agree but i also think this could be bad cuz then people would want to perfect their children every pregnancy. Also we dont know the side effects on the mother later on when she gets old. Cause pregnancy itself has a lot of side effects in today's world, because of our eating, weather, excersice.
