Ocean Cleanup by Sammie Katz
There was a project to scoop plastic debris from the ocean in Alameda, Calif. They’re called The Ocean Cleanup, they say that by 2040 they can remove 90 percent of the plastic in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. A new study estimates that this patch includes about 1.8 trillion pieces of debris.
What ways can we take part in this?
How bad do you think this is?

This movement is a great idea and can help make the oceans prosper again.

ReplyDeleteEven though the Ocean Cleanup Project could not remove all of the trash from the ocean, I believe it would still be very beneficial to at least get some of the trash out. I feel that This Ocean Cleanup Project is a great idea in terms of doing something to reduce the amount of trash in the ocean.

hopefully this can be used in our ocean and actually work and affect it in a good way
ReplyDeleteWithout the ocean, our earth will be in a major imbalance. To contribute to better this problem I plan to cut the plastic that is from soda cans
ReplyDeletei think this is great because it could be saving lives in the ocean. and humans are benefiting the aquatic like not harming them.
ReplyDeleteRemoving waste that's currently in the ocean is a good idea, but I think it would be more productive to focus on stopping new waste from entering the ocean. It would be a waste of time to remove waste that keeps on entering the ocean anyway. What projects are there that focus on preventing waste entering the ocean?

I think that this is probably going to take a lot of money, but it is also imperitive that we try to clean up the ocean as fast as we can. -Olamide Ayeni
ReplyDeleteWe need the ocean, it doesn't need people. When people realize that then we can start a road to recovery
