Clean Water Crisis by Lindsay Dehn
When most of us wake up in the morning we brush our teeth or make some coffee. These are common things most people do in first-world countries. With that being said, all of these tasks require no effort in finding clean water to do so, and we don't even realize how fortunate we are.
In many countries all around the world, finding clean water is becoming more and more difficult every day. Out of the 6.7 billion people in this world, 2 billion of people have no clean water in their household, and it's only getting worse. Research has shown in about 30 years from now, half of our population will have no clean water due to pollution.
Water pollution is caused by industries dumping their waste into rivers, or the ground, which makes the body of fresh water contaminated. Also, climate change is a major factor in finding clean water, due to droughts and heatwaves across the world. Floods and sea levels rising is polluting the water as well.
What are some other things that we use clean water everyday for without thinking twice about it?
What are some ways people are trying to help third-world countries to provide clean water?
What can we do to try to further prevent more pollution in our bodies of water across the world?

people are dying because of awful water conditions and we sit and watch knowing we can help. We need to do something more than just said wishes and prayers
ReplyDeleteAccess to clean water should be an expectation for everyone. We should raise awareness about this issue and push to make it available everywhere. Maybe a cheap way to convert salt water into drinkable water could be developed.

We never seem to look at how fortunate we are to have clean water for everyday tasks. We need to realize that there are so many people out there in other countries that do not even have a place to go to have clean, fresh drinking water, let alone water to waste on brushing their teeth. I believe that everyone needs to work on conserving water and as a country, look into finding ways to get these places in need a way to have access to clean water.

If we do not help other countries find water source or provide them then our world will rapidly decay and the population will start to die off

I think people should start going around the countries that have no water and start providing water of building water system. -christa
ReplyDeletehow can we as a whole come up with new methods of getting rid of water pollution instead of just dropping it off in random rivers or seas which effects everything around it? -ty
ReplyDeleteSometimes we take clean water for granted. This presentation was humbling.

we could raise money to buy an abundance of water or the clean water straws to help.
