Our fossils.

In my article i read to find out that humans might not last that long for 21 century fossils to be found. But if humans stay around for that long our fossils won't really matter. We would already have everything that a fossil tells us, through google if its still around by then. Now like i've said if us humans could see the day to find our own fossils would they be able to. At the rate humans are taking over the environment fossils will be almost be impossible to find. Because there would be no top soil to start digging it would all be some sort of asphault.

What fossil will be the most common in millions of years?

Will humans be around to find them, if not who will find them?

  1. I believe that people will find fossils of our generation but probably in a low quantity. This is due to the increase in alternative methods of burying/cremating people.

  3. I think that we will be around for millions of years more so I think we won't be the ones to find our fossils and I think small animals will be what they find the most of. -Elena Appel

  4. I do not believe lots of human fossils will be found in the future due to the increase in cremation and other body disposal methods that dont leave bones.

  5. I think that this topic is really interesting, I think humans will be around for a long long time though because even if somethings come down to bad air qualitity or something we will find out alternative ways to survive in that enviornment.

  6. I think that insects will be the most common fossils due to their large numbers. I don't think there will be as many human fossils because people are starting to get cremated more often.

In my opinion, when humans are gone from this earth, everything will be gone on this earth. We have the power to screw everything up.

  10. This is something I hadn't really thought of, I think its cool to think about if we eventually go extinct if some other lifeforms could find our fossils or something. Or if in the future we find other human fossils. A little creepy to think about.

  11. I think we will still be around to find out fossils, but I do wonder if maybe by that time there are other forms of life than us on Earth who want to study our fossils as well.

  12. I believe there will still be fossils out there, there just won't be as many and they will be smaller and harder to find. I believe there will just be fossils of animals around our time period. -Gabby Abowitz

I think that it is a possibility that we will still be around for millions of more years, as long as there isn't a big wipe out. i think that we will still be able to find fossils, but maybe not as many as we use to.

  13. I think there will be fossils from our generation but they'll be hard to find and very few in number due to a high number of people being cremated.

  14. I think that our generation of fossils will be the most conman because we are higher up on the food chain and there are around 7 billion of us which makes us the more conman animal out of all.
