  1. This is a problem because when the fish eat the plastics, when we eat the fish, we will also be eating plastic. The plastic is not good for sea life to eat and it probably isn't good for people. -Juan D

  3. We can reduce this by cleaning those items and reusing the trash so that it won'y be extra trash we are putting in the environment. Then we can just keep reusing the trash but not putting it into the ocean.-Tamara

  5. I think that this is a really serious problem, because with all of the plastic and other materials going into the ocean, it could kill many aquatic animals. I also feel as though if the government put more restrictions on pollution it would help to reduce it.- Fagan O´Connor

Maybe if there were greater consequences to littering on land people would be cautious. Like a huge fine, or like a public announcement that this person littered. If people were ashamed and embarrassed they probably wouldn't do it again.

  10. I think over the years we have become careless and taken our earth for granted, we have not yet realized that what we do everyday can severely harm our planet and if we do not change soon the whole ocean will be filled with plastic. Lilly Pearson
