Helpful CDC tips on how best to avoid food poisonings by Anadia Phillips

According to the CDC most people which is about 1 out of 6 people get sick from contaminated food also those with compromised immune systems, and diseases such as diabetes also the very young and old are at more risk than any other, but most likely anyone can get a run in the foodborne illness. Food poisoning can be very easy to catch mostly when your in a public place eating out. Keeping people from getting these poisonings isn't as easy as many people may think it is it takes a lot of sanitation and cleaning to keep many people from getting sick. The food that gets cooked or prepared before cooking can get easily contaminated in any on those movments by moving from one food straight to another and also not cleaning your work area.

  10. A lot of times it depends on the culture whether or not meat is fully cooked. For example when I went to France, there were meat options that were practically raw, which makes humans more susceptible to bacteria. -Tori Favazza

  11. I can protect myself from food poisoning by washing my hands and not sharing food. Cross contamination can lead to food poisoning as well.

  16. You can prevent food poisoning from washing your own hands, asking people to wash their hands if your planning to share. check if the staff/worker who prepare food are wearing gloves, and make sure the food isn't too old if your eating left overs. -Gabby Piper

Its not just in out dinning places where you can get food poisoning, people who cook at home and are not as secure as the restaurants, are in most cases more harmful because they have no regulations like the food department in fast food telling them to cook properly in their own kitchens.-Tamara Harmon
