Fracking by Liam Hipp
Fracking by definition is, “the process of injecting liquid at high pressure into subterranean rocks, boreholes, etc. so as to force open existing fissures and extract oil or gas.”
Meaning that the they force down fluids down into the ground in order to retrieve oil and gas that lays below the ground. According to the U.S Energy Information Administration, there were 23,000 hydraulically fractured wells in the US, just in 2000. Fracking releases large amounts of methane into the atmosphere causing poor air conditions. Not only does it affect air quality but it affects climate change.
How does this affect the gases in the air?
What kind of changes do we see in the environment due to the climate change from fracking?
How does that affect the natural amenities around the fracking site?

I don't think this is good gfor the environment 1) because cows itself are releasing so much methane
ReplyDelete2) Would this fracking do any damage in the following years to the enviroment instead of global warming???

Fracking is adding to global warming a ton by releasing all that methane into the atmosphere.
ReplyDeletecould change a lot

ReplyDeleteFracking tributes to global warming very much and we need talk about it more.

This isn't a good idea for the environment. Im pretty sure there could be another way to go about this -ogechi
ReplyDeleteThis wastes a lot of energy for unnecessary reasons. - Jordan
ReplyDeleteFracking hurts the environment around it and has the possibility of causing oil spills.
ReplyDeletethis hurts the environment and there is another way of getting oil -triston
ReplyDeleteWhat other ways could we do this-Cali
ReplyDeleteI wish this were illegal. Why can't we utilize solar energy more? - Myori
ReplyDeleteIs there another alternative if its hurting the environment -ogechi
ReplyDeleteI think we could definetly find alternative energy sources that are more cost effective. Patrick
