New Delhi Air Quality by Myori Felix
Recently the talk about global warming and air pollution has been on the rise, but most of us don’t even understand the conditions that the other side of the world is suffering from. Even though it’s easy to take for granted our living situation and not give thought to others, it’s important for all of us to be aware of what goes on in the world because sooner than later that could be us.
New Delhi is the capital of India which is the home to over 20 million people, with this many people in such a densely populated area you can see how smog quickly starts to build up. Aside from the people contributing from their cars there are also other factors such as dust comulating from homeless people burning garbage to stay warm, construction sites being built, smoke from seasonal fireworks, and especially now in the cold months when the wind speed slows down and all the pollution settles over the plains.
All this pollution has caused the air quality index to reach 293, which is almost 200 points over where it should be, this has led to an epidemic in india being the fifth largest cause of death estimated to kill 1.5 million people a year.
How does air pollution get to this point?
What steps are important to take to make sure it improves?
Do you think our whole world will be like this one day?

DeleteTo reduce this problem, they should take away the things that are making it become one. By educating the people, that would knock out a lot of issues

DeleteOK so i just went to India last month and the problem is bc of so many people it is hard for the government to keep track. Also India is building it self up recently so it doesn't know which ,which topics to focus on. But what they can do is educate people in school. The new generation.

I feel like they should have like more classes about how to reduce these types of problem.

When the government stops caring or over looks a issue like air pollution that's when it gets bad.

They need to stop using fossil fuels too much and it will take a few years for the air to clear
