Oil Rigs by Nik Meeks
Drilling for oil and gas offshore is one of America's most dangerous professions. There are many risks that come with this job. There are multiple combustible objects on the platform that can cause oil spills. This makes the job twice as dangerous and can be harmful to the water and aquatic life. There are also cranes that carry things constantly overhead and sometimes can be dropped due to faulty wiring.

Should oil rigs be shutdown?
Is this job too dangerous for workers?
How can we contain oil spills?
I think the amount of oil rigs in a specific area should be limited. It's a risky process comparable to fracking. Oil spills are expensive and have a huge impact on not only the local environment but currents can carry oil to areas far away.

ReplyDeleteI think we should lower the number of oil rigs in the ocean. This way less oil spills will happen. It’s also a very risky job
I feel that the number of oil rigs in the ocean should be decreased to a smaller amount. It is much harder to clean up the oil in the ocean as opposed to on the land.

We have tons of oil rigs in the ocean and we're taking up space that should be left alone for fish, it is their home and we take over and put them in huge danger if it were to have an explosion
ReplyDeleteIf the paycheck is good enough some people will do almost any job

What can we do as americans to stop this mass amount of oil productions? These numbers need to decrease because our ocean is vital to our survival
ReplyDeletethe amount of oil rigs should be limited

i think drilling for oil and gas should be left alone and that is no job for us because it could be very dangerous.
ReplyDeleteThe amount of oil rigs in the ocean is too high and dangerous for the ocean if any of them spill oil.
